After leaving school I worked in the accounts department of a number of different companies. I made the decision to progress further in my career and so started a distance learning course in Accountancy. I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004.
I joined Holder Blackthorn as a part-time employee in 2000 as a bookkeeper. Over the years I have developed my skills and experience, and became a partner in 2013. I have worked with SME clients based in the UK and Europe, providing financial and commercial support including management accounts, forecasting, cashflow management, payroll and accounts compliance services. I also prepare and submit the reporting required by the overseas parent companies which provides them with a vital link to the UK.
I work closely with my clients to understand their organisation and develop an excellent working relationship, and to provide an efficient and pro-active service.
In my spare time, if I get an hour or two to myself when I’m not looking after the family, I enjoy watching Indian movies and reading.
